MY LITTLE ISLAND CURRICULUM

UNIT: Unit 8 On the Farm

OBJECTIVES:
  1. To review farm and jungle animals vocabulary
  2. To review the stories we have listened so far
  3. To introduce bee concept vocabulary
  4. To improve listening and drama skills

TARGET SENTENCES: (Review)
  • Can you see the (cow)?
  • Yes, I can
  • No, I can’t

TARGET VOCABULARY: (Review)
Cow, duck, goat, hen, horse, sheep, bee, elephant, tiger, lion, monkey

LISTENING:
  • Students watched an episode of “Let’s Go Pocoyo”
  • Teacher reread the stories through Story Time

GAMES:
  • Teacher plays the Game CD of our book and students play the games of previous units on Smart Board as a review of the whole vocabulary.

PROJECT:
Bee, beehive and honeycomb concepts were introduced and students formed a bee project.

DRAMA:
Bee family dramatization was introduced and students were involved in the drama.
Students practice their Jungle Drama for the show which will be held at the end of the year.

SONGS:
Previous songs and the songs we will sing in the year-end show were repeated.
