WEEKLY ENGLISH BULLETIN
MY LITTLE ISLAND CURRICULUM
UNIT: Unit 8 On the Farm
OBJECTIVES:
- To review farm
animals vocabulary
- To review the
song “Bismillah I am a Muslim” Song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnLbR3bt7Tg
- To listen and
understand the story “Monster Pet”
- To review “In
the Morning” song vocabulary
- To review
numbers from 10 to 30
TARGET SENTENCES:
- Can you see the (cow)?
- Yes, I can
- No, I can’t
TARGET VOCABULARY:
Cow, duck, goat, hen, horse, sheep
LISTENING:
- Students listened to the
story “Monster Pet”
- Students reviewed the
song and story “In the morning”
- Students watched an
episode of “Let’s Go Pocoyo”
STORY TIME:
- Students listened and repeated
the lines of the story “Monster Pet”
- Worksheets about the
story “In the morning” were studied.
GAMES:
- Little pictures
representing the sentences of the story “In the morning” were drawn on the
floor. Students jumped on the pictures along with the song vocabulary.
- Then teacher asked the
sentences in a mixed order and students tried to find the corresponding
picture to jump on.
- Teacher plays the Game CD
of our book and students play the games of this unit on Smart Board.
PROJECT:
Students completed their own story books about farm animals which also
include numbers and “I see…..” sentence structure. They came up and tried to
tell the story themselves one by one.
TABLE ACTIVITY:
Students used dough to form numbers from 10 to 30.
SONGS:

Previous songs are repeated by singing and dancing.
DRAMA:
Students practice their Jungle Drama for the show which will be held at
the end of the year.
