WEEKLY ENGLISH BULLETIN

MY LITTLE ISLAND CURRICULUM
UNIT: Unit 5 My House
OBJECTIVES:
  1. To review and assess previous unit vocabulary and structures
  2. To listen to the story “Story time for Denzel”

TARGET WORDS AND DIALOGUES:
Car, train paint, bike, puppet, boat, kitchen, dining room, living room, house, bathroom, bedroom, monster,

WORKING IN THE STUDENT BOOK:
Pages 48 – 49  were studied. The vocabulary of the last two units are reviewed with sticker activities.

STORY TIME:
Students listened to the story “Story time for Denzel”

ART:
Related to the story activity, students created their own monsters with dough.

GAMES:
  1. Computer games about the parts of the house were played on SmartBoard system.
  2. Unit 5 flashcards and numbers are matched. Students form two groups. One group says a number and the other group has to say the name of the flashcard under that number.
  3.  Flashcards of the previous units and numbers are matched on SmartBoard. Teacher calls out a number and students try to say the flashcard of that number.
  4. Students close their eyes and one flashcard on the board is turned back. Then student look at the board and they guess which card is missing.

LISTENING:
English cartoons are watched. (Gogo loves English, Dora the Explorer)


SONGS:
We repeat the songs we have learned so far. The last two songs
In the House Song (Song CD of the book)

HOMEWORK:
Pages 32, 33, 34 and 35 of the activity book are the homework pages for this weekend. You can see the help videos on ingilizcesevgisi.blogspot.com. The videos will be uploaded on Saturday morning.
