UNIT: Unit 9 The Weather

 

OBJECTIVES:

1.        To review weather vocabulary and structures

2.        To practice listening comprehension with the story “I looked through my window”

3.        To repeat the sentence structures of the story through a chant and a song

4.        To draw the scene of the students’ room window.

 

TARGET SENTENCES: (revisited)

·         How is the weather today?

·         It’s rainy

·         It’s windy

·         It’s hot

·         It’s cold

·         It’s snowy

·         It’s sunny

·         It’s cloudy

·         Is it (sunny)? Yes, it is/No, it isn’t

 

STORY OF THE WEEK:

 “I looked through my window” story was introduced to students via Smart Board and CD activities.

 

DRAMA AND SPEAKING:

·         The drama of the year end show was practiced.

·         Sentences of the story of the week were dramatized and repeated.

 

GAMES:

·         Teacher puts the CD of the story of the week and students  play the games which include the vocabulary and structures of the story.

 

SONGS:

·         Previous songs and the songs we will sing in the year-end show were repeated.
